Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. Series depicting closeness of mother and calf. A calf floats close to its mother near a warm blue spring on a cold winter day. Fish, bream, Lepomis spp., are present around the young animal. Horizontal orientation with blue water and reflections.
