Manatee Health Assessments, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA. November 10, 2011 am. Researchers from several federal and state agencies work together to gather data during the manatee capture and health assessments. Under a canopy assessment data is acquired and the manatee kept as comfortable as possible. The manatee in only kept out of the water for a safe, pre-determined timespan.
