Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. A young manatee relaxes and rolls over while swimming near a warm blue freshwater spring. The manatee swims over historic remnants of wooden posts left by the Cousteau team in the early 1970s to corral a rescued manatee named Sewer Sam. Horizontal orientation with blue water and strong warming sun rays. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
