Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. An adult manatee flexes its snout and the inside of the mouth is open and visible along with many bristle like hairs. Horizontal orientation with blue water and rainbow rays in the sunlight. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
