Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. An adult manatee swims while assisted by his flippers in the sand by a warm freshwater spring. Submerged tree roots and a fish, bream, Lepomis spp. is present. Beautiful blue spring water and sand is lit by strong warming rainbow sun rays. Horizontal orientation with blue water and sunlight. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
