Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. Snout, whiskers rimmed with algae and its numerous hair follicles are clearly apparent with this curious manatee floating in strong sunlight. Horizontal orientation with blue water and sun. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
