Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. A manatee calf rubs its flippers together against its chest while floating and rolling in the warm freshwater springs. His mother observes. Young manatee often have this bumpy, itchy skin they eventually grow out of. Horizontal orientation with blue water, reflections and another manatee resting in the background.
