Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. A manatee calf rubs its flippers together while floating near a warm blue spring. Young manatee often have bumpy, itchy skin which they eventually grow out of. The young animal displays a very cute pose and a curious eye while lit by beautiful rainbow sun rays. Peaceful, tranquil and undisturbed scene. Horizontal orientation with blue spring water and reflection. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
