Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. Two male manatee calves surface while engaging in intimate play by a warm blue springhead. One calf is grabbing his buddy with his flippers. One of a series of calf intimate play or cavorting play behaviors. Horizontal orientation with sun rays and blue water. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
