Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. Manatees socializing and cavorting swim into the blue freshwater springs. A mother and calf trying to rest are on the sand bottom. Horizontal orientation with beautiful warm sunlight.
