Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. Mother with two female twin calves swims into the warm blue freshwater. These rare twins are not documented but it is thought the calves are twins and not one calf with an adoptee. One fish, bream, Lepomis spp. swims in front of one calf. Rare photograph. Horizontal orientation with warming sun rays. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
