Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. An adult male rests on its back upside down while warming near a blue springhead. Many bream, Lepomis spp. are present. The manatee tolerates the bream attention as it is the price to pay for sharing the warm waters.
