Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. Manatees swim, socialize and rest near a warm blue freshwater springhead. That is a younger calf in the foreground being nuzzled. A boardwalk or viewing platform is nestled amongst the numerous trees. Horizontal orientation split image with strong sun and shadows.
