Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. A mother and calf swim towards the warmest blue spring fed waters. A boardwalk or viewing platform is visible amongst the many trees surrounding the springs. Horizontal orientation split image with light rays and shadows.
