Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. Sometimes green water from the outside overwhelms the blue water of the springs. This adult manatee with red algae on its back looks right at home in the green water. Fish, bream, Lepomis spp., are present. Vertical orientation with green water and blue sky. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
