Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. An adult male manatee rests surrounded by others in the warm blue waters near a springhead. Fish, bream, Lepomis spp., mangrove snapper. Lutjanus griseus and sheepshead, Archosargus probatcephalus, gather around the manatee;s tail. Horizontal orientation with blue water and warming rainbow sun rays. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
