Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. An adult male manatee rests and relaxes upside down in the warm freshwater springs. White mullet, Mugil curema, gather around the manatee's tail. Horizontal orientation.
