Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. An older manatee calf nurses in an unusual upside down position. Fish, bream, Lepomis spp., are around the mother who also has propeller scars. Horizontal orientation with blue water and submerged tree roots. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
