A manatee swims over a warm spring outflow. Manatees frequently move around these natural warm-water sources to show their calves around, find warmer spots or leave when the tide is retreating. This is a recent image from March 2018. Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA. IUCN Red List: Endangered.
