Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. An adult manatee swims in the blue water of a freshwater sprighead. There are propeller scars on its body. The manatee is joined by mangrove snapper, Lutjanus griseus, and bream, Lepomis spp. Horizontal orientation, blue water and soft sun rays. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
