Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. A mother manatee with her calf swim over remnants of the historic wooden posts left by the Cousteau team in the early 1970s when they were corralling a rescued manatee for observation named Sewer Sam. Horizontal orientation with blue water from the springs. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
